Coaching Courses delivered in several locations in Ireland

IOHA delivered a number of L0 coaching courses and handball workshops in different counties over the last months of the academic year. 

In collaboration with Local Sport Partnerships; teachers, tutors, coaches and general public had the opportunity to learn the basics of the sport and experience practical sessions. The aim is to educate the public to be able to deliver handball sessions in their schools, community hubs, clubs and etc. 

The courses were delivered to counties such as Limerick, Westmeath, Cork, Galway, Meath and Leitrim. 

On a special project, TY coaching courses were delivered in a slightly different format, where students could not only learn about the sport but also being thought specific skills for being a coach. A refereeing workshop is also part of the programme. 

The pilot programme was delivered in Castleknock Community College in Dublin for 150 students and in Balbriggan Community College in Co. Dublin for a smaller group of 15.
