The Celtic Cup is an annual handball showdown between the top club teams from Ireland and Scotland, competing for national pride and the coveted title of Celtic Cup Champions. This fiercely contested tournament has quickly become one of the most exciting fixtures in the handball calendar, bringing together the best talent from both nations in a battle for supremacy. With every edition, the stakes grow higher, the rivalries intensify, and the competition cements its place as a must-watch event in European handball.
The Celtic Cup follows a structured format designed to bring out the best in every team:
Group Stage – Teams compete in a round-robin format to determine the top four teams in each division.
Final 4 Weekend – The top four teams advance to the final stage, which includes the semi-finals and finals, where the ultimate champions are crowned.
The next edition of the Celtic Cup promises to be even bigger and better! The Group Stages will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, setting the stage for high-stakes battles between the best teams from both nations. The competition will then head to Ireland, where the Final 4 Weekend will decide who lifts the trophy in 2026. With national pride on the line and rivalries at their peak, this is a competition that continues to push the standard of handball to new heights.
