Celtic Universities Cup 2026: UCD Take Titles After Weekend of Competition

The 2026 Celtic Universities Cup has been completed, bringing together university teams from Ireland and Scotland for a weekend of handball.

This year’s competition featured three teams: UCD, Dundee and UCC. Across two days, teams competed in round robin matches, skills challenges and finals, with plenty of game time and opportunities to showcase their level.

Sunday Skills Challenges

A range of skills events took place on Sunday, including penalty shootouts, crossbar challenges and artistic fast breaks.

UCD claimed both the men’s and women’s titles following strong performances across the weekend.
