Olympic Handball Schools Festival 2026/27

A new season. A new format. A new Schools Festival experience. 🤾

Something exciting is coming to Primary Schools handball in 2026/27!

This season, Olympic Handball Ireland is introducing our new Schools Festival format, designed to give children more opportunities to play, enjoy handball and represent their school in a fun and well-organised environment.

Participation comes first, while competition remains part of the experience. Teams will play multiple matches, earn points throughout the day and have the opportunity to progress through the Schools Festival pathway:

LOCAL / COUNTY FESTIVALS → PROVINCIAL FINALS → ALL-IRELAND FINALS

And we’re making things easier for teachers too. Olympic Handball Ireland will organise the fixtures, schedules, results and refereeing, leaving teachers to focus on their pupils and enjoy the Festival experience.

Festival dates, venues and registration details for the 2026/27 season will be announced shortly.

Each Festival will have a limited number of team places, so keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the registration announcement.
