Celtic Cup

Each year, Ireland’s top handball teams face off against the top teams from Scotland in the now-legendary annual competition that is the Celtic Cup

The highly anticipated Celtic Cup 2024/25 is just around the corner, featuring the top Olympic Handball teams from Ireland and Scotland competing for the title of Celtic Cup champions. The tournament will kick off with the group stage on October 19th and 20th, 2024 at the Basketball National Arena in Tallaght, Dublin.

This year’s competition introduces a new twist – Irish teams will face only Scottish teams in the group stage. The top 4 teams from this phase, based on points earned, will progress to the Final 4 weekend.

After the group stage in Dublin, the tournament moves to Scotland for the Final 4 weekend on February 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at Oriam, Edinburgh.

Teams from Ireland and Scotland will battle for spots in the finals, making this one of the most exciting events in the handball calendar.
