Celtic Cup

Each year, Ireland’s top handball teams face off against the top teams from Scotland in the now-legendary annual competition that is the Celtic Cup.

The highly anticipated Celtic Cup Finals are just around the corner, featuring the top Olympic Handball teams from Ireland and Scotland. The tournament kicked off with the group stages in October 2024 in Tallaght, Dublin and will conclude on 22nd & 23rd February 2025 with the finals in Oriam, Scotland.

Competing Teams

Ireland will be represented by:

  • Women: Astra, Dublin City Handball, Dublin International
  • Men: Dublin City Handball, Dublin International, Astra

Scotland will be represented by:

  • Women: Edinburgh, Tryst, Troon Vikings
  • Men: EK82, Kelvinside, Tryst

Key Dates

  • Group Stage: 19th-20th October 2024 | Basketball National Arena, Tallaght, Dublin
  • Final 4 Weekend: 22nd-23rd February 2025 | Oriam, Edinburgh, Scotland

Celtic Cup 2023/24

Last year, Edinburgh Handball took the women’s title, while Livingston Handball claimed the men’s championship. Dublin City Handball and Dublin International Handball also made strong finishes in the men’s division, showing the fierce competition.

Women’s Division:

  • Champions: Edinburgh Handball
  • Second Place: Tryst77 Handball Club
  • Third Place: Astra Handball Club
  • Fourth Place: Dublin City Handball

Men’s Division:

  • Champions: Livingston Handball
