As part of our ambitious 2024 strategy, the Irish Olympic Handball Association is excited to announce our rebrand as the OHI - Olympic Handball Ireland - alongside a brand new identity that showcases just what Olympic Handball has to offer the sports community.
“We started 2023 with a big focus on our strategy to support the Olympic Handball community. We also asked ourselves what our members need from us, and how we can best showcase what an amazing sport Handball is,” commented Chairman of OHI, Fintan Lyons. “We want our identity to represent the sport as one that’s modern, exciting and diverse. This rebrand will help communicate the energy and togetherness that’s found in the Handball community, but the inclusivity too - we’re a sport that’s genuinely for everyone.”
"We at Sport Ireland are thoroughly energised by OHI's forward-thinking plans," said Shane Califf, Director of Governing Bodies at Sport Ireland. "Their ambition and dedication to repositioning Handball on both a national and international stage is commendable. We believe the steps OHI is taking demonstrate an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and evolution within the sport – principles that align closely with our own. We're thrilled to support them on this exciting journey."
OHI's new image is anchored in their commitment to growing the sport at home and internationally, celebrating inclusivity and communicating to everyone that Handball is the best team sport in Ireland.
OHI’s new brand identity and strategy is being overseen by Dublin-based agency Image Now, a brand and design consultancy with over 30 years of experience crafting many of Ireland's most well-known brands.
